The Association of Junior Independent Schools currently boasts 39 members from all over the North West of England; from Rossall, Fleetwood in the north to Newcastle-under-Lyme Junior School in the south, Heathfield, Rishworth to the east and Redcourt, Birkenhead to the west. Formed over 20 years ago from an informal but regular gathering of half a dozen schools who wished to organise sporting events and fixtures for and between local independent schools, it now provides not just a thriving and ever increasing sporting calendar but also regular INSET for its teachers and regular meetings for its Heads, Deputies, Heads of Pre Prep and PE teachers. AJIS has always been a friendly organisation which ensures attendance at meetings is high and that a willingness to share good practice and ideas is the norm.

The constitution of AJIS is available to view via this link.
